Prysm Payroll's payroll-checking tool runs entirely in your browser. The payroll files you upload to check for errors are never sent to a server — they're processed locally on your device and nothing about them is transmitted to us or anyone else. We do collect a small amount of information when you sign up, pay, or contact us, described below.
Payroll data: Never collected. When you upload a payroll CSV or register export into the Prysm Payroll tool, it is parsed and analyzed entirely within your browser using JavaScript. It is not uploaded to a server, stored by us, or seen by anyone at Prysm Payroll.
Account and billing information: When you sign up for a subscription, payment is handled by Stripe, our payment processor. Stripe collects your name, email, and payment card details directly — we receive confirmation that a payment succeeded and basic contact details, but we do not store your card number. See Stripe's privacy policy for how they handle this information.
Support requests: The "Help" button on this site opens your own email application with a pre-filled message addressed to our support address. That message is sent from your email account to ours like any other email — it is not submitted to a server we control before that point.
Website usage: This site does not currently use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. If that changes in the future, this policy will be updated to name the tool used and describe what it collects.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use payroll data for any purpose since we never receive it.
The client portal (portal.html) uses your browser's sessionStorage to keep you logged in during a browsing session — this clears automatically when you close the tab and is never sent to a server. The payroll-checking tool itself uses localStorage, entirely on your device, to remember your most recent pay period so you can compare it against a new one — this data also never leaves your browser and you can clear it at any time from within the tool.
We retain billing and contact information for as long as your subscription is active, plus a reasonable period afterward for accounting purposes. Since payroll data is never transmitted to us, there is nothing for us to retain or delete on that front. You can request deletion of your account and contact information at any time by emailing us.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you (which, per above, is limited to billing and contact details — not payroll data). To make a request, email us at the address below and we'll respond within a reasonable time. Prysm Payroll currently serves US-based clients only. If we begin serving clients in the EU/UK or California, this policy will be updated with the additional rights language required under GDPR or CCPA.
Prysm Payroll is a business tool intended for use by adults in a professional capacity. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continued use of Prysm Payroll after a change means you accept the updated policy.
